TAIPEI (TVBS News) — NVIDIA (輝達) CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) emphasized the company's reliance on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC, 台積電) for its critical chips during a speech on Thursday (Sept. 12) Taiwan time.

Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia and Technology Conference in San Francisco, Huang lauded TSMC as the best in the field, citing their excellent performance as the reason for choosing them as a supplier.

Huang highlighted the incredible demand for NVIDIA's latest Blackwell chips, noting that suppliers are working hard to meet the schedule for a fourth-quarter delivery.

He acknowledged that geopolitical tensions in Taiwan could pose risks, especially if China attempts to invade, potentially severing ties between NVIDIA and TSMC. He assured that NVIDIA could shift orders to other suppliers if necessary, though this might reduce chip quality.

"We have a lot of people on our shoulders, and everybody is counting on us," he stated. Customers are eager to be the first to receive the chips and order the most, creating anxiety due to the chip shortage.

To address concerns about AI investment returns, Huang emphasized the strong demand for Blackwell chips, aiming to boost market confidence.
